A 10-year-old American girl, Annie, is forced to spend the summer with her grandmother, Nainai and younger cousin, Yong in China. One day, a local construction project opens up a once sealed portal to the "twilight realm" releasing evil forces!
Annie soon discovers she and Yong come from a long line of warriors who must defeat these evil forces. Under Nainai's guidance, Annie and Yong learn to fight these creatures as well as get along themselves. By wearing Power Masks, which increase their abilities tenfold, they, along with Nainai's cat, transform into mighty warriors! A clash of cultures and villains leads to many exciting adventures for these two young warriors.
